About Me
Having returned to Yoga myself in 2009 following a traumatic period of disconnection, loss and emotional unease. I have experienced first-hand the healing power of Yoga and the ability it has to bring back a sense of control and balance, when otherwise feeling fearful and out of control.
My transition from Yoga practitioner to Yoga Teacher and Therapist has been moulded by my own personal journey and my never ending quest for answers, authenticity, healing and connection. I was stressed to the hilt, had been taking my mind and body for granted and living on my nerves for a very long time and when I fell, I fell hard. I lost my balance physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I felt like someone had literally pulled the rug from under my feet. I couldn't see or feel the ground, let alone my roots. I felt completely lost, ungrounded, fearful and alone. This was to become my breaking point but also my turning point and I started to actively seek ways to self-soothe, to slow down, to ground and to become and feel present. Slowly I learned to listen to, value and appreciate my body. I was lucky to find some incredible teachers and through my Yoga Practice, I learnt how to manage my symptoms of anxiety, panic disorder, insomnia and chronic fatigue. I became trauma-informed and most importantly Yoga became my friend and ally. Yoga Therapy had the unique ability to bridge together the gaps between my mind, body and spirit.
This deeper connection with my body has, along the way, awakened many pathways and curiosities within me. One of which is the Meridian System and the Ancient art of Acupuncture in Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Studying Acupuncture became a natural progression. I currently offer Acupuncture treatments alongside Private Yoga Therapy and small inclusive Scaravelli Inspired Yoga classes from my base here in Norfolk.
I am extremely grateful and humbled to be able share these practices with you on your own unique healing journey.
